The high-static-pressure fan filter unit combines a backward-curved EC impeller, deep inlet arrangement and reinforced plenum. Formed ribs and corner reinforcement support the casing, while a capped test connection provides access for pressure measurements. The unit is intended for cleanroom selections in which inlet losses or final-filter resistance are important parts of the airflow duty. Pressure capability is evaluated at the required flow, not from the motor size or housing depth alone.

Pressure-Duty Selection and Installation

Define the full resistance path

For a quotation, state the required airflow and external losses at that airflow, including inlet ductwork, fittings and any prefilter. List the final-filter resistance separately so that internal filter pressure drop is not counted twice. The selected fan curve must cover both the clean-filter duty and the intended loaded-filter limit.

Match the inlet and control arrangement

Choose an open intake or a dimensioned duct collar, the final-filter grade, and the gasket or gel-seal construction. An EC motor does not by itself establish constant-airflow operation. Where an upstream air-control device is used, select compatible control behaviour rather than allowing two independent controllers to regulate the same airflow.

Install for measurement and service

Allow access to the test connection, motor controls and filter removal path. Use the specified ceiling support layout and electrical rating, and measure delivered airflow as well as pressure during balancing. Disconnect power before filter or fan maintenance.

A standard fan filter unit may suit a lower-resistance ceiling duty. If the main requirement is increased total volume across a broad outlet, compare the high-airflow fan filter unit.
