Gravity-assisted circulation
Vertical tubes return condensed working fluid to the evaporator without a mechanical pump.
This heat-pipe unit places one air stream above the other and uses vertical 1/2 in copper tubes as a passive thermosiphon. Gravity-assisted liquid return creates strong transfer in one selected direction, so the circuit is optimized for either a dominant heating or cooling season rather than equal bidirectional duty. The stacked housing is especially suitable where supply and exhaust ducts already run over and under each other.
Vertical tubes return condensed working fluid to the evaporator without a mechanical pump.
One coil face sits in each over-under air stream across a sealed partition.
Orientation is selected around the dominant annual heating or cooling benefit.
