About This Product

MORTAR-6MM combines novolac epoxy resin, an amine curing agent, pigment and selected graded aggregate. The four-component mixture is trowelled at a nominal 6 mm, within a supported 3-6 mm application range. Unlike a conventional epoxy screed with a novolac top seal, the mortar binder itself is novolac. The construction provides a substantial mineral-resin body beneath the exposed surface.

Key Features

Mechanical mortar mixing

A suitable mortar mixer distributes resin, hardener, pigment and aggregate before immediate placement, helping the batch retain consistent working properties.

Hard mineral construction

Graded aggregate and compacted placement support the floor's mechanical role in repeatedly loaded process areas.

Formed perimeter connection

An integral cove can continue the mortar finish at the floor-to-wall junction, reducing the separate trim interfaces around a process room.

Applications

Intended for aggressive chemical production support and heavy industrial rooms with combined spill, abrasion and impact exposure. Select the finishing arrangement for the actual chemical and cleaning conditions. Where full waterproofing is necessary, include a compatible membrane and edge details rather than assuming the mortar alone provides containment.

Solutions for Your Application

The primer dries before the mortar crew reaches the area.

Re-prime any tack-free section before continuing so that the mortar is placed onto the required tacky bond coat.

A raw mortar face may be harder to clean than the room requires.

Add the compatible lining selected for the intended chemical and hygiene duty.

Available Options

Specify pigment, cove returns and any lining or waterproofing layer. Preserve the chosen 6 mm build at loaded transitions and avoid unsupported feather edges where traffic enters the room.
