Protocol continuity
Both sides use Modbus, reducing semantic translation between fan data and the supervisor.
This gateway connects a field network of Modbus RTU fan filter units to a Modbus TCP building supervisor. It translates the physical path from RS485 to Ethernet while preserving the Modbus data model. The product is selected when the FFU layer already uses RTU and the facility BMS expects TCP rather than BACnet or an IoT protocol.
Both sides use Modbus, reducing semantic translation between fan data and the supervisor.
RS485 fan wiring is exposed through an Ethernet connection.
The gateway links speed, status and alarm points to the facility network.

Suitable for facilities whose BMS uses Modbus TCP while ceiling fans communicate over RTU. Registers, unit addresses and network security should be documented before integration.
Specify RS485 segment count, Ethernet settings, address map, enclosure and power supply. Confirm the BMS acts as a compatible Modbus TCP client.
