The switchable laminate forms one lite of this insulating-glass assembly. A perimeter spacer separates it from a second glazing lite, creating a sealed cavity between the two sides. The PDLC layer changes visual privacy electrically while the additional glass and cavity provide a distinct window construction for conditioned rooms. The unit can be integrated into a compatible double-flush cleanroom frame, with the electrical connection routed at the perimeter rather than across the viewing surface.
