The mini-mullion reader uses 13.56 MHz electronics within a short rectangular housing. It reads supported contactless credential formats and passes identity information to the connected access controller. OSDP provides a communication option for installations using that protocol, while alternative interface configurations support compatible existing equipment. The small footprint suits door approaches where a full wall reader would be intrusive, without combining a keypad or biometric sensor into the device.
