The gel-seal U15 terminal is intended for housings whose perimeter blade enters a factory-filled fluid gasket. Compared with the dry-gasket model, it avoids dependence on wide face compression and provides a seal that can recover around the blade. Frame depths in the 71, 80 or 104 mm family allow buyers to align the panel with existing bottom-load hardware and available ceiling space.

The mating blade enters the gel continuously around the frame, creating a positive interface in compatible terminals.

Room-side maintenance

Bottom-load access allows replacement below the ceiling without entering the technical plenum when the housing is designed accordingly.

Used in semiconductor cleanrooms and precision production areas whose terminal housings are designed for room-side gel-seal replacement. U15 is appropriate when the particle-risk assessment does not require the lower penetration of U16.

Solutions for Your Application

The gel trough lines up poorly with the housing blade after the retaining clips close.Check trough offset, blade reach and frame depth against the terminal section, then seat the panel evenly before locking it.

Gel adheres to packaging or collects debris before installation.Keep the protective cover in place until the terminal is ready and inspect the entire trough before raising the filter.
