Unlike a broad odor-control cartridge, this header filter uses chemically impregnated activated carbon selected for acidic airborne molecular contaminants. The adsorbent is embedded in pleated nonwoven and enclosed in a metal frame suitable for common air-handling tracks. This chemistry-focused configuration serves make-up and recirculation air where acid breakthrough can damage exposed equipment or disturb a sensitive process. Final media selection must follow the actual acid species and moisture conditions.

For semiconductor, electronics, battery and chemical cleanrooms where acidic AMC can corrode components or affect process surfaces. Determine whether the challenge is a strong mineral acid, sulfur compound or mixed acid stream before assigning the media blend.

Solutions for Your Application

One acid-media label may conceal very different capacity for HCl, HF, SO2 or other challenges.Identify the priority compounds and concentration profile, then match the impregnated formulation and required bed capacity to that list.

An acid filter may be replaced on pressure drop even though chemical capacity is the real limit.Use downstream gas monitoring, exposure calculation or media analysis to set the change point independently of airflow resistance.
