Minimum penetration tier
U17 acceptance provides the tightest MPPS efficiency in this family for the most sensitive manufacturing steps.
This U17 model is the most selective member of the 35 mm ePTFE mini-pleat series, reaching at least 99.999995% efficiency at MPPS. Its nominal clean resistance is 0.55 in. w.g. at 100 fpm, so it should be reserved for contamination-sensitive tools whose risk assessment warrants the airflow penalty. Supported membrane layers and an anodized aluminum perimeter provide a compact filter platform for several seal systems.
U17 acceptance provides the tightest MPPS efficiency in this family for the most sensitive manufacturing steps.
The 0.55 in. w.g. clean value makes the airflow consequence visible before U17 is applied across a ceiling or tool.
Scrim-supported ePTFE folds fit a 35 mm pack while resisting damage at the pleat bends during normal handling.

Reserved for leading-edge semiconductor tools, metrology spaces and mini-environments that explicitly require U17 filtration. System designers should avoid applying it by default where U15 or U16 meets the control target with lower energy use.
