The fixed neoprene seal is compressed by the closing leaf and does not use an inflatable tube.
The wrap-around surround carries a stationary neoprene gasket against which the hinged blade closes. The selected construction uses a molded fiberglass leaf with a foam interior and a smooth gelcoat face, supported at the opening by a hygienic frame. Closing the blade compresses the gasket mechanically rather than inflating it with an air supply. The frame surrounds the wall reveal, providing a defined perimeter junction for a manually operated cleanroom entrance.
