Product Introduction

This terminal configuration reverses seal ownership: the filter carries an integral knife edge and the common-plenum grid holds the gel. The U16 ePTFE pack and approximately 109 mm frame depth suit advanced fab ceilings where repeatable blade geometry is already standardized. It must not be substituted for a filter-mounted gel trough, even though both systems use a fluid perimeter seal.

Key Features

Grid-owned gel system

The filter blade penetrates gel retained in the ceiling grid, keeping the consumable panel free of a filled trough.

U16 common-plenum duty

Supported ePTFE media combines high efficiency with low pressure loss for broad advanced-fab ceiling coverage.

Defined blade geometry

An integral perimeter edge provides a consistent sealing member when its reach and width match the grid channel.

Applications

Designed for advanced microelectronics common-plenum ceilings and tool mini-environments built around a grid-mounted gel channel. It provides U16 filtration while simplifying disposal of the filter element without a gel-filled perimeter trough.

Solutions for Your Application

A knife-edge filter is ordered for a terminal whose gel is actually carried by the filter.Verify seal ownership on the ceiling detail: this model requires the gel channel to remain in the grid.
A bent perimeter blade cuts or fails to penetrate the gel uniformly.Inspect the edge before lifting, protect it during transport and lower the panel squarely into the grid channel.

Available Options

Specify face dimensions, knife-edge reach and width, frame depth, guards, divider or test ports and airflow orientation.
