Product Introduction

The 14-gauge painted carbon-steel body makes this housing a practical containment option where stainless corrosion resistance is not required. It accepts standard box HEPA or HEGA elements with gasket seals and uses an 8 mil plastic bag for contained replacement. The published family pressure capability reaches 10 in. w.g.; the selected coating, duct environment and cleaning method must remain compatible with carbon steel over the expected service life.

Key Features

Cost-conscious containment

Painted carbon steel provides a robust pressure boundary for dry indoor service without the cost of stainless construction.

Standard box-filter compatibility

The clamping section accepts commonly used gasket-seal HEPA or molecular box filters.

Contained maintenance port

An 8 mil bag and ribbed ring isolate the dirty filter during change-out.

Applications

Applicable to hospital isolation exhaust, animal facilities and pharmaceutical support areas with moderate-to-high hazard filters but non-corrosive indoor conditions.

Solutions for Your Application

The coating is damaged and carbon steel begins to corrode in a damp exhaust stream.Inspect coating continuity and select stainless construction when condensation, washdown or corrosive chemicals are credible.
A standard filter does not match the cabinet gasket seat or depth.Freeze filter face, depth and gasket location before fabrication and verify the clamping travel with the selected element.

Available Options

Choose coating system, filter depth, gasket side, prefilter or adsorber stages, bag material, test ports and duct orientation.
