The RAH position removes internally generated AMC before the same air is delivered back toward production zones and sensitive tools.
This model is assigned to the return-air handler, where it treats molecular contaminants released by processes, materials and maintenance activities within the fab. An application-specific hybrid sorbent targets the documented mix of acids, bases or organics, with capacity expressed in ppb-h for life estimation. Because the return stream can differ sharply from outdoor make-up air, its media balance and sampling plan should be based on in-room sources and recirculation concentration rather than copied from the MUA bank.

Used in semiconductor return-air systems serving areas with process-emitted AMC, including lithography support, wet clean, etch and chemical handling zones. Sampling locations should distinguish room-generated loading from contaminants already present in make-up air.
