The self-contained pass box brings the transfer enclosure and its air-cleaning components together for installation in an existing partition. Internal air passages connect the chamber to the fan and final-filter housing, avoiding a remote air-handler connection for the recirculating arrangement. Perimeter face frames finish the wall interface, while the location of access panels is chosen around the space available for upkeep.

The starting concept is an integrated fan-filter cabinet with two-sided material access. Frame dimensions, support method, accessible component locations and control functions are selected around the refurbishment. A replaceable filter element is not the same as a removable cassette containing the fan and controls; that service architecture must be selected specifically rather than assumed from the product name.

Selection and Installation

Start with the available wall opening, access from both rooms and the path needed to remove a filter after installation. A cabinet that fits between the wall studs may still be impossible to maintain beneath a ceiling obstruction or behind fixed furniture. Select the service face before positioning the hatch and keep that maintenance route accessible after installation.

Provide support for the loaded cabinet, keep the frame square and seal the room-facing perimeter without covering service fasteners.
