The lock consists of an electromagnetic body mounted at the frame and a mating armature attached to the door leaf. The exposed installation allows the two contact faces to be reached for alignment and maintenance. Low-voltage power energizes the magnet, and compatible access-control equipment governs release. This single-leaf version is suited to openings where the frame can carry a surface body without cutting a large concealed pocket into the structure.
