Local terminal fan
The integrated air mover allows the terminal supply point to be selected around its filter and upstream air path rather than relying only on central duct pressure.
The fan-powered HEPA module places a fan chamber above a final-filter frame within a ceiling-mounted enclosure. The room-facing diffuser opens to expose the filter-retention area, while the housing remains supported overhead. Air can enter from an open ceiling plenum or through a selected duct collar. This arrangement suits a new or replacement terminal supply point where filter access and individual adjustment are important, without treating the unit as a complete ventilation or air-conditioning system.

The accessible room-side frame provides a replacement route without lifting the complete housing out of the ceiling.
A selected collar or plenum intake lets the module connect to the intended recirculation or conditioned-air arrangement.
Pressure and aerosol connection positions can be planned together with the diffuser and filter-service opening.
Filter access and the inlet arrangement should be resolved before the ceiling is closed.
Common ceiling-module sizes and selectable inlet, filter and control arrangements help define the required supply point.

Select the inlet, filter-service frame and control hardware together. Network capability and room-side motor servicing are separate choices, not automatic features of an EC fan.
Choose an open-plenum or duct-connected inlet from the actual room air balance. Recirculated ceiling air and conditioned make-up air have different temperature, humidity and pressure conditions. A local fan can assist terminal filtration but cannot create additional outdoor air or cooling capacity. Include any collar, damper and upstream resistance when reviewing the fan's available duty.
The nominal ceiling format is not the cut-out or the casing dimension. Obtain the flange detail, support points and full installed height, including inlet collar, duct bend and cable access. The reference body-depth range excludes those additions. Keep access to the motor and electrical enclosure separate from the room-side filter-removal space.
Specify the required flow, clean-filter pressure loss and allowance for filter loading. Review sound and power at that same fan/filter operating point, not at free-air maximum volume. An EC drive or 0–10 V input alone does not provide automatic constant-airflow regulation. Select test and pressure connections by function; an upstream aerosol injection connection is not the same as a sampling port.
Define the gasket or gel-seal frame, filter dimensions, retainer type and safe diffuser restraint. Isolate electrical power for servicing, protect the media during removal and inspect the seal after fitting a replacement. Room-side filter access does not imply room-side motor access or a hazardous-filter change system. The module supplies filtered air; sterile compounding, room classification and biological containment depend on the complete facility and process design. Compare the broader standard fan filter unit when room-side access is not the deciding requirement.
