Reactive acid-gas capture
Chemical impregnation adds reaction capacity beyond the physical adsorption of untreated carbon.
This activated-carbon media is chemically impregnated to improve removal of acidic gases rather than broad neutral VOCs. Formulations can be directed toward compounds such as SO2, HCl and HF and supplied as embedded pleatable media or loose-fill pellets. Cleanroom-compatible options support semiconductor and corrosion-control systems, but the final chemistry must follow measured gas species, concentration and humidity because one impregnation does not provide equal capacity for every acid.
Chemical impregnation adds reaction capacity beyond the physical adsorption of untreated carbon.
The adsorbent can be embedded in a compact sheet or used as pellets in a deeper bed.
Low-shedding and cleanroom-compatible construction can be selected for sensitive supply-air applications.
