This cleanroom air shower provides a controlled transition between a gowning room and a clean area. After entry, the door sequence holds the passage closed while sidewall nozzles direct filtered air across the operator; released lint is collected through lower return grilles before the air is recirculated. Its compact straight-through layout is intended for single-file personnel traffic where entrance space is limited.

Selection and Installation

Fit the entrance, not just the cabinet

Use the clear chamber dimensions to assess a fully gowned user's movement, then check the actual door aperture and threshold separately. Reserve space for both door swings, adjacent benches and filter removal. A compact shell is useful only when the operator can pass through without brushing the doorway or blocking the gowning route.

Choose the nozzle arrangement

A single-side configuration keeps its outlets on one wall; opposing-side delivery uses a different air circuit and nozzle count. Set nozzle direction and the operator's turning routine together. Outlet velocity is a jet measurement, not the average chamber velocity or a guaranteed particle-removal percentage. For a specifically bilateral configuration, compare the double-sided single-person air shower.

Set the operating sequence

Choose a useful nonzero shower duration within the supplied controller range. Entry detection, door closure, showering and exit release are separate events; a timer setting does not describe the complete entry time. Define normal interlocking, emergency release and power-failure behavior independently.

Keep service access usable

Locate the filter and blower access before surrounding partitions are finished. Include the actual fan, lighting, controls and any door operators in the electrical schedule rather than assuming a motor rating equals total demand. Keep lower returns accessible for cleaning, and select the final filter, seals and replacement parts as one compatible assembly.
