Grid-held gel compatibility
The aluminum knife edge seats into a gel trough built into the ceiling support system.
The knife-edge version places the rigid sealing blade on the approximately 610 mm filter frame, allowing it to enter gel held in the ceiling grid. Supported hydrophobic ePTFE media supplies H14 performance with lower average resistance and better handling strength than traditional fragile media. This configuration is chosen for open common plenums, not housings that expect gel on the filter itself.

Low-resistance membrane construction helps limit recirculation-fan demand across large ceiling fields.
The rigid edge provides a defined insertion geometry without compressing a dry gasket.

Specified for common-plenum life-science ceilings, mini-environment grids and large laminar-flow fields that retain gel in the support grid. It helps facilities combine an H14 membrane pack with low resistance while keeping the fluid seal outside the replaceable filter.
