Independent critical airflow
Integrated fans maintain the RABS supply without relying on the exact location of room ceiling filters.
This configuration adds its own fan-filter canopy above the process equipment, separating critical airflow control from the host ceiling modules. It is suited to new lines or retrofits where the room can provide the required background class but cannot reliably deliver the specified downflow profile across the entire barrier.

Airflow and pressure points can be tracked alongside door status during filling operations.
Stainless framing, glass panels and penetrations can be shaped around conveyors and machine modules.
| RABS Type | Active open restricted access barrier |
|---|---|
| Process Zone | ISO 5 / Grade A |
| Background Room | Typically ISO 7 / Grade B |
| Nominal Downflow | 0.45 m/s ±20% |
| Reduced Airflow Mode | Approximately 0.20 m/s when configured |
| Supply Filters | H14 HEPA over the barrier area |
| Fans | Dedicated EC fan modules |
| Frame Material | 304 or 316L stainless steel |
| Monitoring | Airflow, differential pressure and door status |
| Tùy chỉnh | Canopy zoning, filter modules, access doors, glove ports and machine interfaces can be engineered for the intended aseptic line. |
Aseptic vial or syringe filling lines, stopper feeding and critical conveyor zones that need local active downflow within a suitable background room.
Fan zoning, reduced-speed mode, door interlocks, RTPs, automated monitoring, panel layout and stainless finish may be selected.
