The stainless steel fan filter unit combines a fan chamber and final-filter frame within a formed metal enclosure. Brushed outer faces, service latches and a perforated outlet grille provide access to the casing and filter area without a painted exterior skin. The housing grade, seam treatment and exposed hardware can be specified independently of the fan and filter selection. This makes the enclosure choice relevant to facilities where cleaning agents, moisture and access around the ceiling are important purchasing considerations.

Specify the required combination in the quotation, including exposed hardware and gasket materials. An enclosure upgrade does not by itself upgrade the motor, controls or filter frame.

Selection and Installation

Match the material to the cleaning regime

Describe the cleaning chemical, concentration, contact time, temperature and rinse or drying method when selecting the housing grade and finish. Stainless steel is not resistant to every cleaner; chloride deposits and retained liquid can cause localized attack. Specify the enclosure, outlet grille, latches, fasteners and seals separately so that a stainless casing is not mistaken for an entirely stainless assembly.

Compare the complete fan and filter duty

The casing material does not establish airflow or cleanliness performance. Request the selected unit's airflow at the required external resistance, clean and loaded-filter conditions, input power and sound-measurement conditions. Identify the supply voltage, frequency, phase and compatible controller. Choose the filter class, media and sealing arrangement for the application rather than treating HEPA and ULPA as interchangeable labels.

Plan the filter-removal route

Provide the ceiling opening, overall height limit and space available for lifting the fan module or lowering the filter. Room-side filter replacement does not automatically include room-side motor access. Define the support points, seal compression and grille restraint for the supplied construction; the ceiling surface alone must not be assumed to carry the complete unit.

Keep cleaning separate from filter servicing

Wipe accessible metal surfaces using the agreed cleaning method and protect the filter media and electrical parts from liquid. Do not pressure-wash the assembled FFU or treat the final filter as washable. Inspect the frame seal after replacement and check the installed airflow before returning the area to use. This supply-air module does not itself sterilize a process or establish a room classification.
