Users should avoid pressing a shared button.
The infrared element senses a nearby hand without contact.
The switch places an active infrared sensing element behind a stainless faceplate. A nearby hand changes the sensed condition and operates a relay output connected to the door controller. Low-voltage wiring supplies the electronics and carries the request signal. The unit replaces the physical pressing action of a conventional button while remaining a separate activation accessory, allowing the door operator and its safety sensors to retain their own functions.
