An exposed blind adds moving parts beside a frequently cleaned observation surface.
Use the internally laminated PDLC layer to switch privacy electrically.
A polymer-dispersed liquid-crystal film is enclosed between safety-glass plies to form one laminated pane. Electrical power changes the liquid-crystal alignment, switching the viewing surface from translucent to transparent. The standard laminate thickness is 12 mm. Because the active layer sits inside the glass build, both exposed faces remain glass surfaces. The window is useful where observation and privacy must alternate without adding a fabric curtain or an exposed mechanical blind beside the viewing opening.
