Suitable for electronics cleanrooms and instrument laboratories selecting resilient ESD flooring. Footwear, humidity and maintenance condition affect the personnel system and should be included in the acceptance method. Avoid extending a manufacturer's low body-voltage result to every shoe or operating environment; select and verify the actual combination used in the room.
Specify the resistance-to-ground band and the electrical test method so the selected rubber has the required charge-control function.
Check footwear compatibility and walking-voltage behaviour, along with floor cleanliness and earth connections, rather than measuring the floor alone.
Choose the rubber colour, grounding layout and suitable adhesive. Include the intended ESD shoe types and cleaning routine when defining acceptance, and retain compatible rubber material for repairs around future service penetrations.
