Product Introduction

This walk-through misting shower places a distributed nozzle array around an operator leaving a powder-handling suite. A water manifold feeds the selected atomizing nozzles, while a controller manages the misting interval and door sequence. Stainless internal surfaces and a sloped collection floor provide access for removing deposited residue and liquid. The water circuit, service connections and ventilation arrangement are selected around the surrounding de-gowning route.

Key Features

Surrounding nozzle positions

Upper and side locations let the selected spray arrangement address more than the front of a stationary wearer.

Separate process stages

Misting and post-spray holding can be configured within the door sequence instead of relying on an operator to judge the elapsed time.

Utility condition visibility

Selected water-pressure and atomizing-air indications help reveal a supply problem before an apparently normal cycle is accepted.

Accessible residue collection

The floor outlet and serviceable collection area support removal of liquid and powder deposits during routine cleaning.

Solutions for Your Application

A garment-misting stage must reach the relevant surfaces without creating an uncontrolled liquid or aerosol route.

Loose residue can be disturbed when dry protective clothing is removed.Apply a compatible water mist before the planned de-gowning step and retain the facility's protective and garment-handling controls.
Folds and areas behind the arms remain shielded from the nozzles.Match nozzle positions to the actual wearer and use the specified turning and arm-position routine rather than assuming a cloud reaches every surface.
A low utility pressure changes the mist while the timer still completes.Check pressure at the operating manifold and select suitable monitoring or fault logic for the delivered nozzle package.
Residue is moved from the suit into water that has no defined collection route.Connect the collection floor to an appropriate controlled liquid-handling arrangement and include tray and chamber cleaning in the operating procedure.

These are selection examples for water-compatible residues and garments. Product potency, water reactivity, suit compatibility and the complete exposure-control procedure determine whether misting is suitable; no OEB, OEL, biological or explosive-atmosphere qualification is implied.

Technical Parameters

The following are selectable industrial references for an enclosed garment-misting chamber. They describe material, layout and function choices, not a measured STjh configuration or a demonstrated exposure-control result. Nominal plan size is separate from clear standing space and service clearance.

Lining Sheet Reference0.8–1.5 mm stainless steel sheet
Nominal Plan-Size ReferenceApproximately 1300 × 1300 mm; alternative footprints available
Liquid ApplicationFine-water mist directed onto the outer protective garment
Nozzle LayoutDistributed upper and side atomizing positions
Entry ArrangementTwo-door passage with interlocked operating sequence
Cycle ControlProgrammable misting and hold stages with cycle-status indication
Supply Monitoring OptionsWater-pressure monitoring; atomizing-air monitoring with a selected air-assisted package

A usual configuration brings together a stainless occupied chamber, distributed mist nozzles, liquid collection and programmable door/cycle controls. Atomization method, water preparation, ventilation and cleaning functions are specified separately. Larger arrangements can be customized around the intended garment and exit procedure.

Selection and Installation

Start with the residue and the garment

Establish whether water is compatible with the powder, suit fabric, seams and any worn equipment. Misting is intended to dampen residue on the suit exterior; it does not establish that contamination has been removed or rendered harmless. Set the misting and de-gowning method within the facility's exposure-control procedure, including the necessary protective equipment and treatment of the used garment. Do not spray an unassessed chemical mixture onto an occupied suit.

Choose atomization and utility supply together

Identify the nozzle type, droplet distribution, liquid flow at operating pressure, working distance and required air supply if an air-assisted system is chosen. Size the supply for simultaneous nozzle operation rather than one nozzle in isolation. Visible fog density does not establish even garment wetting; assess deposition at the intended wearing position and working distance.

Connect drainage and air handling deliberately

Determine how runoff and collected residue leave the tray and how the chamber is cleaned before the next user. Provide a suitable collection or treatment route for that liquid; a drain fitting alone is not wastewater treatment. Coordinate supply air, exhaust, moisture separation and any selected filtration with the surrounding exit route. The doorway interlock does not independently establish a pressure cascade or a containment rating.

Set the complete entry-to-exit sequence

Allow room for the wearer to turn, keep arms away from the body as required by the procedure, and stand clear of drain openings. Agree misting, holding, release, fault response and emergency egress together. This is a garment-misting process, not an emergency body shower, eyewash, sterilizer or a certified method of neutralizing hazardous chemicals. Where a direct water-spray wetting stage is needed instead of a fine mist, compare the low-flow suit wet-down shower.
