The electric free-swing closer combines a guide-rail door mechanism with a low-voltage release function. During normal energized operation, the leaf can be moved with reduced closer resistance after the mechanism is set. When the release circuit changes state, the closer resumes its closing action. The complete hardware includes the overhead body and rail arrangement for a single leaf, with a connection to compatible release and monitoring equipment.
